4 Week Wheel Throwing Practice|Pre-Intermediate Foundation Enhancement
If you’ve already taken our or other Beginner Wheel Throwing 6-week course and are eager to further enhance and hone your fundamental skills, this course is designed for you. It’s all about deepening your understanding of the basics and getting to grips with the right throwing techniques – not about finishing final pieces every time. Each class only up to 4 students.
During classes, our experienced instructors will guide you through concentrated practice in creating basic forms such as 12cm cylinders and trapezoidal cylinders. In the first session, learners are required to cut their thrown cylinder open from the side to inspect its thickness distribution and uniformity. In the second and third sessions, instructors will provide personalised practice guidance tailored to each individual’s progress.
At the end of each class, you will receive one-to-one feedback from your experienced instructor to help refine your skills.
We believe that mastering the basics is the key to creating beautifully refined and creative forms. Establishing a solid foundation and mastering the correct techniques are essential for creating a variety of aesthetically pleasing forms later on, as all refined and well-designed shapes evolve from the gradual transformation of a basic cylinder.
Once you've built a solid foundation and are ready to progress to the 6 Week Intermediate course, you'll learn to create a wider variety of engaging and creative forms in your intermediate wheel throwing course.
If you are a complete beginner with an interest in wheel throwing, please enrol in the Beginner 6-week course first.
Upon successful completion of this 4 Week Foundation Enhancement course and passing our studio’s assessment, you will be eligible to progress to the6 Week Intermediate course.
