New to pottery? You're in the right place.
Our beginner classes are designed for complete beginners, with step-by-step guidance in a relaxed, supportive environment. Unlike larger studios, we keep our classes small (maximum 8 students), giving you plenty of individual attention as you build confidence with clay. Inspired by Chinese, Korean and Japanese ceramic traditions, we focus not only on techniques, but also on developing a natural connection with the material. Whether you're looking for a new hobby, a creative escape, or the start of a longer ceramics journey, you'll leave with handmade pieces and skills to keep growing.

If you’d simply like to try pottery for the first time, one of our 1–2 hour taster workshops is a great place to start.
If you’d like to build your skills more steadily, our 6-Week Beginner Courses give you more time to practise and understand the full making process.
You can choose Wheel Throwing, Hand Building, or a Mixed Course if you’d like to experience both.

Because our multi-week courses run on a fixed schedule, we normally cannot provide replacement sessions for missed classes.
Your teacher will do their best to help you understand what you missed and catch up where possible during your next session.
Please check the cancellation and rescheduling policy for your specific course before booking.

Freshly made pottery needs time to dry completely before going through the kiln. Depending on the class, your work may also need to be glazed and fired again before it is finished.
We’ll let you know by email when your pieces are ready for collection.

Finished pieces are usually ready approximately 4–5 weeks after the relevant class or glazing session.
Ceramics is a slow process and firing schedules can occasionally take a little longer. We’ll email you as soon as your work is ready, so there’s no need to contact us before receiving your collection email.

Yes. Ceramics naturally involves some risk during drying and firing.
Cracking, warping, glaze variation and other unexpected changes can occasionally happen even when a piece has been made correctly. These transformations are part of the ceramic process, and unfortunately we cannot guarantee the final result of every piece.

Our memberships are designed for people who can work relatively independently in a shared ceramics studio.
If you are completely new to pottery, we recommend completing a beginner course first so that you feel comfortable with the basic making processes, equipment and studio practices.
Our technicians are happy to offer general studio support, but membership is not a taught class.
